So one of my new year's resolutions for 2009 is to start a blog. Hopefully this is something I will be able to keep up with and hopefully keep my resolution for the next year. I also hope I will get used to this "blogging thing".
I had a little difficult time coming up with the name of my blog. I was inspired by my church sermon yesterday and my church's theme for the year, which is "I am the clay and you are the potter". This comes from the very well known passage found in Isaiah 64:8
Yet, O LORD, you are our Father.
We are the clay, you are the potter;
we are all the work of your hand.
While I was at church yesterday morning I kept thinking about our theme. God is continually molding me and shaping me into the person he has designed me to be. Even though sometimes I mess things up, He doesn't through me away He uses those experiences and life stuggles to keep molding me into His perfect child. It was the perfect way to start off the new year. I hope this blog allows me to share my faith and life experiences with my friends and family and hopefully I can learn from everyone as well.
I have decided that this year is going to be one of the best ones yet. Anyone who knows me well knows that my health is finally on the upward swing and I am finally able to put away my fears of my pilondial disease returning. It was a long hard five years of surgery after surgery and waiting on the Lord to heal me in His time and He has. I hope I will be able to share some of the stories that I have learned along the way, that could hopefully help everyone else.
This is going to be fun ... I like this!!!
